1. Asia

  1. Kyrgyzstan

    • A complete ban on e-cigarettes : From July 1, the import, sale and use of e-cigarettes will be prohibited. Violators will be fined $110 for individuals and $660 for companies.

    • Resumption of cement imports : Lifting of temporary ban to stabilize prices of building materials.

  2. Uzbekistan

    • Cancel export restrictions on most commodities : From July 1, all export restrictions will be lifted except for 86 types of strategic materials such as natural gas, fertilizers, and meat.

    • Adjustments to sugar and milk powder policies : cancel the 20% consumption tax on sugar and relax restrictions on milk powder imports.

  3. Vietnam

    • Strengthen supervision of cross-border e-commerce : require foreign sellers to provide consular certification documents, end the "zero threshold" entry; simultaneously crack down on tax evasion and cancel small-value import tax exemption10 .

    • Anti-dumping investigation on Chinese steel : Investigation launched on ordinary carbon and alloy steel coated coils.

  4. Thailand

    • New regulations for medical devices : Starting from July, manufacturers of medium- and high-risk products must comply with GMP standards, and low-risk products must improve their facilities.

    • Foreign Investor Online Registration System : It is planned to be launched in July to simplify the registration process for foreign-invested enterprises.

  5. Pakistan

    • Anti-dumping investigation on polyester filament yarn from China : launched in July.


2. Americas

  1. USA

    • Steel and aluminum tariffs upgraded : From June 23, a 50% tariff will be imposed on eight types of steel home appliances.

    • Technology Export Controls :

      • Expand the scope of sanctions against China to include subsidiaries of controlled companies (controlling ≥50%) in licensing requirements.

      • Some technological restrictions on China (such as AI chips and EDA software) will be lifted in stages, and the first round of lists will be announced in mid-July.

    • New rules for Amazon platform :

      • From July 13, only compliance test reports from accredited laboratories will be accepted (involving children's products, electronic equipment, etc.).

      • Starting from July 28, self-delivered battery products will be required to fill out a safety questionnaire, otherwise they will be removed from the shelves.

  2. Canada

    • Countermeasures against U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs : If no agreement is reached within 30 days, tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum products will rise to 25% starting July 21.

    • Domestic procurement requirements : Federal projects give priority to steel and aluminum products from Canada or "reliable partners."

  3. Mexico

    • Crack down on low-price customs declarations : revise foreign trade rules, strictly investigate e-commerce platforms’ tax evasion by unpacking, and punish violators as smugglers.

  4. Argentina

    • Relaxation of import of medical products : validity period requirement is shortened from 12 months to 6 months (including consumables and diagnostic supplies).


3. Europe

  1. European Union

    • Tariff game between Europe and the United States : If no agreement is reached before July 9, tariffs on exports to the United States will rise from 10% to 50%, with the intention of retaliating against 95 billion euros of American goods.

    • Medical equipment procurement restrictions : Chinese companies are prohibited from bidding for government projects exceeding 5 million euros.

    • Smoking is banned in public places in France : Smoking is banned in many types of outdoor places from July 1st.

    • Key raw materials strategy : Promote a 5.5 billion euro project to reduce dependence on Chinese resources such as lithium and nickel.

  2. U.K.

    • Anti-dumping investigation on Chinese biodiesel : launched in July.

  3. Greece

    • Adjustment of working hours system : Starting from July 1, some enterprises will implement a 48-hour work week (6-day shift).

  4. Ireland and Chile

    • Israeli Settlement Trade Ban : Legislation is proposed to ban the import of goods from illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine.


IV. China

1. China-Ecuador AEO mutual recognition will be officially implemented on July 1

According to Announcement No. 128 of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the General Administration of Customs of Ecuador, the "Arrangement on Mutual Recognition of the Enterprise Credit Management System of China Customs and the "Authorized Economic Operator" System of Ecuador Customs" will be officially implemented on July 1, 2025. The Chinese and Ecuadorian customs recognize each other's AEO enterprises, and the AEO enterprises of both sides can enjoy convenient measures such as lower inspection rates and priority inspections when clearing imported goods.

2. Dalian and Hubei implement a tax refund policy for outbound tourists

According to the Ministry of Finance website on June 16, starting from July 1, 2025, Dalian City and Hubei Province will implement a tax refund policy for outbound shopping by overseas travelers.

3. (Taiwan-related policies) Cross-Strait facilitation measures

Starting from July 1, 2025, entry and exit document fees for compatriots from Taiwan Province of China traveling to the mainland will be waived for a period of two and a half years. This is a non-trade policy, but promoting personnel exchanges will indirectly benefit economic and trade cooperation.

4. The latest version of the Mineral Resources Law of the People's Republic of China will come into effect on July 1

The newly revised "Mineral Resources Law of the People's Republic of China" came into effect on July 1. The newly revised Mineral Resources Law clarifies that the state will improve policies and measures to increase support for the exploration, mining, trade, and reserve of strategic mineral resources.

5. "National Internet Identity Authentication Public Service Management Measures" will come into effect on July 15

The measures propose that natural persons holding valid legal identification documents can voluntarily apply for an Internet number and Internet certificate from the public service platform.

6. "Measures for the Administration of Labor Capacity Assessment" will come into effect on July 1

The measures propose that application materials that can be obtained through information sharing shall not be required to be submitted repeatedly, and places with conditions can receive labor capacity assessment applications through the Internet. The time limit for delivery of labor capacity assessment conclusions is shortened from 20 days to 15 days. At the same time, it is required to strengthen the construction of barrier-free environment and improve barrier-free service facilities and equipment.

7. "Regulations on the Registration and Administration of Individual Business Owners" will come into effect on July 15

The measures will include social security fees and non-tax revenue items that are uniformly levied nationwide and meet certain conditions into the credit evaluation, and will comprehensively evaluate the tax and fee payment credit level based on the timely declaration and payment of the business entity during the evaluation year, so as to more comprehensively reflect the credit status of the business entity.

8. "Hygiene requirements for disposable sanitary products" will be implemented from July 1

The mandatory national standard "Hygiene Requirements for Disposable Sanitary Products" will be implemented from July 1. The new national standard clarifies that "disposable sanitary products" mainly include women's menstrual hygiene products, excrement hygiene products (excluding toilet paper) and other hygiene products such as sanitary wipes, antibacterial agents, and antibacterial agents.


V.Transnationaland multilateral agreements

  • China-U.S. "London Framework" Agreement :

    • China has accelerated the approval of rare earth exports to the United States (17 types of minerals including praseodymium and neodymium), and the United States has lifted 12 types of technical restrictions in stages.

    • Saudi Arabia : Implementing 9 new sales promotion regulations, requiring price ranges to be marked and prohibiting false discounts (effective in July).

    • Russia : Wildberries platform upgrades high-end product area and strengthens authenticity certification.

    • Shopee : New sellers in 8 sites including Singapore enjoy 3 months of commission-free (launched on July 1).

  • Countdown to global tariff negotiations :

    • July 9 is the deadline for negotiations between the US and Europe, the US and India, and any breakdown in these negotiations could trigger a chain of tariff wars.
